Jasco Power renews exclusive Master Distributor status with Gamatronic

Jasco Power Solutions has renewed its Master Distributor agreement with leading global power electronics company Gamatronic Electronics. This agreement effectively extends Jasco’s exclusive distribution rights within Southern Africa for a three-year period, with the option to renew the contract at the end of the period.

 

Gamatronic is an internationally recognised brand with representation on every continent, providing best of breed solutions for a variety of power environments. Jasco Power Solutions has been a Master Distributor of Gamatronic solutions since 2009, first as FerroTech, and then as part of the Jasco Group. The company’s product portfolio includes modular UPS solutions from 10kVA to 1200kVA and a range of Online UPS systems from 1-10kVA, as well as static switches, controllers and spares for support.

 

“Over the past five years we have cultivated an excellent relationship with Gamatronic. Their top quality products and solutions, along with solid technical support, have allowed us to grow our market penetration. This extension of our exclusive distribution rights will allow us to further grow our reach and implement a further-reaching marketing strategy that will be mutually beneficial for both Jasco Power Solutions and Gamatronic,” says Marco da Silva, Managing Director of Jasco Power Solutions.

 

Jasco Power Solutions’ Master Distributor agreement gives the company exclusive rights to distribute Gamatronic solutions in South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. In order to add value for local customers and ensure solutions are fit for purpose, Jasco does not import complete systems from Gamatronic, but rather the system components. These components are then tailored and designed into customised bespoke offerings specific to the individual requirements of each and every customer.

 

“By engineering solutions based on best in class products to meet the demands of the Southern African environment, Jasco offers leading edge technology that is a cut above the market competition. In order to improve our offering to the market, we will be looking to finalise our channel market strategy over the next year, and will be focusing on building a stronger presence in neighbouring countries,” da Silva adds.

 

In addition, Jasco is exploring the possibility of opening a Tier 1 repair centre in South Africa. Currently, Jasco Power Solutions is only able to handle Tier 2 repairs, while higher level issues need to be shipped to Gamatronic to be remedied. With a dedicated repair centre, Jasco will be able to offer OEM-level repairs in South Africa as well as servicing the rest of Africa, further enhancing customer service.
