Dr. Raj Siriram

Dr Raj Siriram is the Managing Director of the Jasco Industry cluster, responsible for the manufacturing and power systems businesses. He is also the Chief Executive of Alpha Concepts Pty (Ltd), a professional management and engineering consulting company. Previously, he was the Operations Executive at Plessey, a Dimension Data company, and later, the Chief Information Officer at Dimension Data Middle East and Africa. He was also the Divisional Managing Director at Siemens Ltd, the Manufacturing Systems Manager at General Electric, and the Manufacturing Manager at Alsthom.

He has extensive industrial experience, including profit-and-loss responsibilities, business development, project management, information technology, supply chain management, performance management, business engineering, and manufacturing. He has turned and grown many businesses over the last 20 years of his 38 years of working experience. Raj has more than 15 years of experience at the executive level. He was also a professor at North-West University and an adjunct professor at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently a sessional lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand. His research interests include technology management, enterprise engineering, project management, and systems engineering. Raj is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).

He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, School of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering, in South Africa.
